Lama Zopa Rinpoche is the co-founder, with Lama Thubten Yeshe, of Kopan Monastery and the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition(FPMT). Lama Zopa Rinpoche is now the Spiritual Director of the FPMT.
